A Citizens’ Academy was held on Neighborhood Revitalization at the Knight Center on the campus of Alabama A&M University on October 14, 2014. It was hosted by A&M and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

A plurality of attendees came from the 35810 ZIP code (North Huntsville). Other ZIPs with a significant presence included 35811 (NE Huntsville), 35801 (Central Huntsville), and 35805 (SW Huntsville). At least one person attended from every major Huntsville ZIP code except for 35741 (Brownsboro).
